(Puerto Villamil, Isla Isabella, Galapagos)
Here we go! It’s anchors up in the Galapagos tomorrow morning and we’re off 3,000 nautical miles across the South Pacific Ocean. Next stop the Marquesas Islands of French Polynesia. The island of Hiva Oa to be exact.
Unfortunately I don’t have a lot more to say on the destination, fortunately though, I have about three weeks to read all about it as we sail ever closer. What I do know is:
– French Polynesian law only grants us a three month visa to visit their beautiful islands. Therefore, we will be in hurry up mode to fit it all in.
– I wish I paid more attention in French Class.
– I hear they have good wine…
So feel free to leave your crossing time prediction in the comments section of the “South Pacific Crossing Lottery” and keep an eye on the twitter feed on the homepage to get live updates from the middle of ocean. There’s bound to be a fish story or two, Gregory is insistent that he will be landing some trophy-worthy fish.
Oh and there’s always the tracker! You best check in and make sure that little blue dot that is Oceanna is steadily moving west!
Alright, I guess it’s over and out for now. Thanks for all the love and support and we’ll catch back up on the other side of the world!
