If you thought Gregory Evans’ skill set ranged from board sports to superior handyman and ended there you’re sorely misinformed. Today he added crafty palm weaver to the old resume.
The majority of the population see monkeys and get their kicks feeding them bananas and taking pictures. Gregory and certain Foy’s are not included in this majority. They see monkeys and think “wow I should definitely try to catch these little buggers.”
As they channeled their inner primate they deduced that it would be best to trap monkeys in something from their own environment. Therefore the monkey would be more comfortable walking into the trap laid for them. In comes palm weaving.
Now no one I know grew up weaving palms so the great teacher of our generation was consulted – YouTube. With some guided direction, and a palm round-up from our yard, the weavers set to work and created some pretty decent woven mats.
With all that work under their belts, the monkeys arrived and the weavers abandoned their craft to throw bananas and take pictures. Who would have thought?
