(Quepos, Costa Rica)
Nothing huge to report today, just a lot of little awesome things.
Today we proved the boat could actually move. Yes we’ve navigated Oceanna to Costa Rica from North Carolina, but to show family members first hand that you’re capable of handling yourself on the water is an important victory all on its own. The lucky candidates today were my Uncle Greg and Uncle Wayne. We rewarded their bravery by making them hoist the sails themselves and sending them off the front while we steamed full speed ahead!
Our destination was just up around the corner to Manuel Antonio Bay. A postcard perfect anchorage – believe me I saw it on tons of postcards – surrounded by the renowned Manuel Antonio Park. Once anchored us in the boat party wasted no time catching up to the shore party at the beach. It was there that my parents delivered the final two players for Foy Family Christmas Vacation. My baby bro Quinn and his girlfriend Kristi. They arrived Hollywood styles on a single prop plane from San Jose. Then after a go on our new fleet of boogie boards hopped on Oceanna for a sunset sail back to Quepos anchorage.
To wrap up a wonderful day we had a deadly meal back at the house, but more importantly we met Santa! Yup, at 27 I’m still thrilled to get my picture on Santa’s lap.
