(Pavones, Gulfo Dulce, Costa Rica)
Catching back up with Kancer on land today he gave us a tour of the piece of property he bought with a friend in Pavones. The property was beautiful and laden with delicious fruit trees. And although I thought they were just a good Mitch Hedburg joke, we sampled some funny looking red bananas. Besides the awesome vegetation, Kancer showed us the location and plans he has for a home overlooking the jungle and a waterfall. A dream that’ll be sweet to see come to fruition.
Later, for a romantic three-wheel dinner, we walked down the beach for the best Italian I’m sure the Costa Rican coast has to offer. Rosella was a gracious host, and her cooking was way above par. I jealously eyed Kancer’s gnocchi as Greg and I shared a deadly, true-to-Itlay pizza. I used to think I cooked with a lot of garlic, but I don’t got nothing on Rosella!
